What the...?
Today, my 3rd day of rehearsal and theatre camp, was slightly odd. Well, during theatre camp it was. Today, Mrs. Dowd's son Walker didn't show up in the morning because he forgot to wake himself up. This was odd because he usually never forgets. So Mrs. D called him up and made us shout "WALKER, WHERE ARE YOU???" at him. When he finally got here, we were trying to stage a story that we were performing. Walker was supposed to play a hermit while my friend Kelsi was to play an old person who was injured on the stomach. So Walker had to bandage her up.
Now, I don't know if Walker has a thing for Kelsi or if it was by accident, or if her was trying to be funny, but out of nowhere he starts LIFTING HER SHIRT UP! She freaked and slapped him. Now Kelsi refuses to talk to him and cannot look him in the face again. I totally understand why. Whilst we were walking in town, she said to me, "Honestly, I had no idea what Walker was doing, nor did I LIKE it. Ya know, I was going to invite him to go to lunch with us today, but he cn forget that now!" The drama you face in theatre......

FIRST REHEARSAL!!!!
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! Today was AMAZING!!!! Not only was it the 1st day of theatre camp, but it was also the first rehearsal for Ancient Greek Idol! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Today was absolutely PERFECT! During theatre camp, we had to make a scenario when you walk up to a door, knock, and no one answers. Then we rated on a scale of 1-10 of how life-threatening it was. Mine got an 8. I was pretending to be a peron who REALLY had to pee. Everyone thought it was hilarious. After camp, I went out for lunch with my friend Kelsi, and Walker came with us. Then we came back to the theatre and read through AGI. Then me, Kelsi, 3 girls named Aleah, Courtney, and Jessa, and Walker all went to OIP for dinner. Then we came back and read through the last of Ancient Greek Idol and learned the songs. UGH! Tomorrow, I'm hardly gonna see my friends. It's so depressing to think about it. =[.

I'm sorry!
I know, I haven't posted in a while, but I was at comedy improv for the last time, and after that I got a banana split with some of my acting friends, then we went back for the pizza and play reading, then I went home and slept, then I had to go to New Jersey. Yes, I was a very busy woman.
The last day of improv was excellent, except I had an eye appointment and I arrived 30 minutes late. Everyone applauded when I came in. I loved it. Then we invited the parents to watch us be random for the last half hour. That went rather well too. After that, there was a half hour till the reading started so me and a couple friends who were also doing it shared a banana split. Me and my friend April brought $20 each, My other friend Treska brought three dollars. We had trouble dividing the change because there was an uneven amount left over, so we wanted to give it to the pizza guy. But he didn't want it so we donated it to BTE. Before that Walker put the dollar down his shirt, so the ensemble will get a "lovely" surprise. Then for the play reading, we read "The Real Inspector Hound" by Tom Stoppard. It's a parody of Inspector Hound. We all had SO much fun doing it.
Well, tomorrow is the first rehearsal of Ancient Greek Idol! I CAN'T WAIT!!! And before that is the first day of theatre camp! =] I WILL post tomorrow. Later.

Comedy Improv Class #4
Wowzers! Today was SO FUN! We played THE DATING SHOW: COMEDY IMPROV STYLE. The game is basically picking 1 bachelor/bachelorrette to ask questions to 3 contestants, whose personalities are unknown. For example, one contestant could be an escaped prisoner. I was bachelorrette #1 and I had to pretend to be a mermaid. The bachelor (Walker) Got my personality right from the 1st question: If we were dating, where would you take me for our first date? Well, I said scuba diving, or shell collecting. Well, that wasn't obvious. Just kidding! Another thing I had to do was to pretend to be an author from a foreign country. According to the studio audience, my book I wrote was about different types of pickles. I couldn't think of a foreign word for "pickle" so I ended up calling it a "peeckle". Everyone thought it was hilarious, oddly. Also, we did this thing where we split into two teams and we each had to come up with a topic only our team know about. Then we had to have an out loud conversation about it, but never telling what it is. If someone from the other team knew it, they had to come over and join in the conversation as if they were always there. If we thought they didn't know, we'd say "challenge". They'd whisper what they thought to us, and if they're right, they joined our circle. I thought it was interesting. Tommorow, I'm gonna be really booked. I have 3 appointments, my comedy improv class that I will miss 20 minutes of, and the pizza and play reading 30 minutes later.
ciao!

Comedy Improv Class #3
Once again, comedy improv was a smash hit! But today, for some reason, I was nowhere near as funny as I was on Tuesday. Maybe it's because my "chauffer" became sick so my dad had to drive me, nearly arriving to class late. Today we did the freeze thing again, and this time I was a robot that desperately needed oil. We also did another game, and whoever got out first was randomly the god/goddess of whatever they felt like being the god/goddess of. Walker ended up getting out first and decided to become the god of Swedish Fish. I got out next, so I declared myself the goddess of Skittles, because Skittles are awesome. Anyway, we also did this one game where we all stood in a line and the instructor pulled a random topic out of a hat and we had to give examples of it. For example: "Really Bad Pick-up Lines". I jumped out and gave this one: "You should be tired , 'cuz you've been running through my mind all the time." Everyone thought it was hilarious. There was another topic: "What to Say When Confronting Your Mortal Enemy In the Produce Aisle". Walker's responses: "So, we BEET again." and "LETTUCE fight!" Another person, a girl named Kelsey, said: "You got the squeaky cart. HA! Take THAT!" It was quite funny. Today I also learned what it felt like to get a rain burn (actually it's not a burn. We were joking about tanning in the rain and I was like "AHHH! I GOT A RAIN BURN! AHHH!") lol. But now I am desperate to go back. I LOVE this class. It's really helping me with my improvisation skills, plus it's quite fun.
I shall post again.....

Comedy Improv Class #2
AHHHHHHHHHH! Sorry, I had to let that out. Class was fun yet again today! This time we had 2 people in the middle act out a random scene, then someone yelled FREEZE! and the people froze. Then the yeller would take sosmeone's place and start a new scene. I ended up going from a scene about a guy entering the girl's bathroom by accident, to a bird pooping on a statue. There was also this one activity when two people would act a scene with their hands behind their backs whilst two others were using their arms as the actors' arms. I had to be a mother preparing her son to go to war in the South. I was put with a super tall guy (well, tall to me) whose arms were dwarfing me in comparison. It was really funny. Anyhow, Bunches of kids in the Bloom-Danville area are gonna start a non-school related high school Odyssey of The Mind (OTM) team. Basically, it's like improv because it involves acting on the spot and a LOT of creativity. It's gonna be SO cool! We did more of the overaccepting too. We also had to think of 10 random things that were supposed to have nothing to do with each other. Now that was quite hard. Things can be similar in different ways.
By the way, my "chauffer" (Katie) had to go to a horse riding lesson today, so she dropped me off THIRTY MINUTES EARLY! If the instructor's son wasn't there to talk to me, I would have died of boredomness. I think I want a plum.
